Prairie Valley Students Compete at Region III UIL Academic Meet
Seven Prairie Valley High School students competed at the Region III UIL Academic Meet in Waxahachie on April 22.
Among those participating were Linzie Priddy, Sara Horton, Carmen Gomez, Makaylee Gomez, Emma Stout, Tyson Easterling, and James Wells.
Linzie Priddy placed 2nd in Accounting, advancing her to state. Sara Horton placed 5th in Accounting, making her a state alternate. Carmen Gomez placed 7th in Accounting. This landed the Accounting team in the 2nd place position as the alternate team to state.
Emma Stout took 6th in Copy Editing and 7th in Persuasive Speaking.
The Calculator Applications Team placed 3rd.
